The number of active listings in the Sacramento area for the month of July increased 6.8%, from 3,258 in June to 3,479 in July. The months of inventory indicates the number of months it would take to deplete the current inventory of Sacramento area homes at the current sales rate.
The month-to-month average sales price in the Sacramento area increased 4.2% from $294,032 in June to $306,366 in July. Compared to last year, July 2013, when the average sales price was $281,194, this July’s average sales price of $306,366 is a year-over-year increase of 9%.
