Sierra Oaks/Arden Park

Sierra Oaks is a Sacramento neighborhood with beautiful tree-lined streets, bound on the east and west by Watt Avenue and Munroe Street, and on the north and south by Fair Oaks Boulevard and the American River.  Sierra Oaks includes over 900 homes and is an exclusive neighborhood.  People like Sierra Oaks because of its good schools and proximity to downtown, parks, and the American River.  Sierra Oaks is home to two very respected schools, the public Sierra Oaks School (K-8) and the private Sacramento Country Day School (K-12).  The neighborhood is very established, with lots of trees and close proximity to downtown Sacramento, which is a 10-15 minute drive on surface streets or Highway 50.  In the 1930s, most of the original homes were on large properties, and the rest of the Sierra Oaks neighborhood consisted of hops fields.  In the 1940s and 1950s, most of the rest of the neighborhood was established.

Arden Park is a Sacramento County neighborhood that is adjacent to Sierra Oaks and borders the City of Sacramento to the East.  Arden Park is bordered by Watt Avenue to the west, Arden Way to the north, Eastern Avenue to the east, and Fair Oaks Blvd to the south.  Arden Park is a very family-friendly neighborhood, just minutes from downtown Sacramento, nestled into a quiet community with excellent public schools, wide tree-lined streets, and spacious lots.  Sacramento Magazine rated Arden Park as one of Sacramento’s best neighborhoods.

If you are searching for a home in Sacramento, and you are interested in being 10 to 15 minutes from downtown and living on a quarter acre to an acre, in a very established neighborhood with wide, tree-lined streets, excellent schools, and American River access, then Sierra Oaks and Arden Park should be at the top of your list.
