Roseville/Rocklin

Roseville is located in Placer County, about 15 miles northeast of Sacramento, nestled into the eastern edge of the Sacramento Valley at the base of the Sierra Nevada foothills.  Roseville is a progressive city, always looking ahead to the future.  Roseville has a very strong and diverse economy, with a healthy mix of technology, healthcare, agriculture, and financial service businesses.

Roseville is an amazing place to raise a family, with great parks, recreation programs, and educational systems.  Numerous neighborhood parks, recreational systems, golf courses, fitness centers, and thousands of acres of open space offer limitless opportunities to enjoy our fabulous California sun.  Several of Roseville’s schools have received California Distinguished School Awards and Roseville is a short drive from Sierra Community College, California State University Sacramento, and the University of California, Davis.

Although Roseville is known for its strong businesses like Hewlett-Packard, Kaiser Permanente, Telefunken Semiconductors USA, and Union Pacific Railroad among others, many of us spend time in Roseville patronizing retailers in the fabulous Westfield Galleria Mall and luxurious Fountains at Roseville, with 40 national retailers alongside local boutiques.

Roseville has plenty of entertainment and cultural venues throughout the city as well.  The Magic Circle Theater offers live theatre and families can enjoy Roseville’s Music in the Park with a picnic.  In the summer time, Downtown Tuesday Nights takes place along historic Old Town Vernon Street, where folks mingle and mix with friends, family, vendors, and live bands.  Roseville also offers families Golfland Sunsplash, Denio’s Farmers Market & Swap Meet, and a number of museums.  Additionally, the location of Roseville is ideal if you want to take in the outdoor activities at Folsom Lake, Lake Tahoe, and Napa Valley, or if you want to spend the day in San Francisco—Roseville really does have it all.

Rocklin was named one of the “10 Best Towns” for families in America by Family Circle magazine.  The city is located at the junction of State Highway 65 and Interstate 80, ideally nestled into the base of the Sierra foothills in California Gold Country.  Rocklin is within 20 minutes of Folsom Lake, 30 minutes of downtown Sacramento, and less than two hours from San Francisco, Lake Tahoe, Napa Valley, and the Pacific Ocean.

Rocklin places a premium on the quality of life and is known for its excellent schools, extremely low crime rates, and beautiful family parks.  Rocklin is a place for young and old, with lots of young families and plenty of retirees.  There’s no shortage of baseball diamonds, picnics and playgrounds, or golf courses.

Rocklin has a history that is rich in traditions, many of which are grounded in granite mining.  In fact, Rocklin granite was used in the State Capitol building and many other buildings throughout California.  This granite history is evident in Rocklin and preserved through its granite bridges and city park sites.

Rocklin is an excellent community with streamlined government, great civic services, plenty of economic development, parks, recreational opportunities, cultural history, and amenities.  Young or old, Rocklin has something for you.
